High surge flow (rapid changes in flow rate) is the most common reason for screw-type couplings to fail in harsh applications. Previous solutions involved using oversized couplings that were expensive and bulky. However, that is no longer necessary. The TLX flat-face twist-lock quick-connect coupling is designed to handle the highest surge flows and pressure fluctuations. A new 3/8" model (TLX 307) is now available. Made of high-alloy steel and coated with zinc-nickel plating, it ensures long life even under severe conditions. Sizes range from 3/8" to 1 1/2", making it suitable for most applications.
